NE Corner of Niles Canyon Road and Mission Boulevard, California Historical Landmark No. 46
In 1853, Jos' de Jes's Vallejo, brother of General M. G. Vallejo, built a flour mill here, on his Rancho Arroyo de la Alameda. The Niles district was once called "Vallejo Mills". The stone aqueduct was built to carry water for the mills parallel to Niles Canyon Road.
